UCI On-Campus Housing Problems

Having mentioned the Palo Verde Residents Council elections, I also want to point to the Verano Residents Council elections going on right now.
From the info (again, the email is obfuscated to foil spammers):

The election will occur between May 30 and June 6. The election is electronic and each contract holder will be sent a ballot via email.
If you are a spouse, domestic partner or dependent over 18, you need to email your email address to gfroy at uci dot edu in order to receive an electronic ballot.

PVRC and VRC have successfully worked together in the last year to help improve the housing conditions for the residents of both communities. Lots of work remains to be done, so we need strong resident representation in both communities.

All Palo Verde residents should have gotten a notice about the upcoming elections to the Palo Verde Residents Council.
As a founding member of the PVRC, I strongly urge everybody to vote.
Your participation is important to help improve things in UCI housing and in particular in Palo Verde. The PVRC represents you, the residents of Palo Verde, in all matters related to your housing needs.

May 30-June 1 2007, all authorized residents of Palo Verde are invited to elect the members of the Palo Verde Residents Council for the July 2007-June 2008 term.

If you would like to vote, please visit http://palo-verde.org on May 30 for the url to vote electronically (if you have not received notification or other instructions via email). If you have any questions, or would like to acquire a paper ballot, email Josiah Carlson (jcarlson at uci dot edu) with the subject of ‘elections’ BEFORE 5PM on June 1, 2007.
If there are no challenges, results of the election will be posted on June 8, 2007.
